A new way of stopping mothers from bleeding continuously after delivery looks set to prevent a lot of maternal deaths. The new innovation involves the use of nonpneumatic anti-shock garments which are used to strap around each of the legs of a bleeding mother from her knees down to prevent blood from flowing down.
